Mary Martin

Mary Alice Martin passed away peacefully at 80 years of age on Monday April 22nd 2019. She had become a devoted Jehovah's Witness between the years 1970 and 1971 and remained strong in her faith until her last day. She passed bravely with her hope of a new system. Nothing made her happier than pleasing Jehovah and sharing his promise of a paradise on earth with her loved ones and all she encountered. Mary was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Kenney, her brothers John, Walter, and Clarence Kenney, her nephew Clarence Kenney, and her loving husband of 44 years, Eugene Ernest Martin. She leaves behind a loving legacy of 5 daughters Donna Martin, Charlene Martin, Darlene Martin (Yaki Manselle), Nina Martin, and Diane Johnson; her 5 grandchildren Jimmie Spencer (Latoya), Kishalee Spencer-Allen, Travon Jefferson, Elijah Green (Kaitlyn), and Teona Martin; 10 great grandchildren Jaekwon Spencer, Dezmond Mahoney, Javaris Spencer, Jahkobe Spencer, Sofyia Green, Deshaun Allen, Demerin Allen, Jayden Oliver, Demetrius Allen, and Demaya Allen; 2 nephews Taurus and Thomas Kenney; 2 nieces Sonya Kenney and Pamela Tinker; 2 sister in laws Patricia E. Parm, and Doris White Kenney; and her good and loyal friend who was more like a sister to her, Naomi Evans and family. Mary's heart was so big and her smile so captivating that she also leaves behind several people that she adopted in her heart as own children, as well as countless friends, many of whom served with her in her many years as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was loved by all just as hard as she loved EVERYONE. We ask for your prayers as we adjust to a temporary life without an amazing mother, wife, grandmother and friend. A private service for the family is being held. A Public memorial for Mary will be held at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witness, address and date to be announced.
