Ann Rosemarie Brunette

BERLIN - Ann Rosemarie "Nana" (Catucci) Brunette, 88, of Berlin, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday after a brief illness and an incredibly full, healthy, and happy life.. Born and raised in New Britain, daughter of the late Frank and the late Rochetta "Rachel" (Gentile) Catucci, she graduated from New Britain High School, and worked at New Britain Machine Company where she met her late husband Michael. Together they had four beautiful daughters, Debbi, Sharon, Christine, and Linda, seven grandsons, three granddaughters, and three great-granddaughters, and Ann, "Nana" to her family, was adored by all of them. Her life was all about her family, friends, and church, and an amazing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and most recently great-grandmother, she was the centerpiece of her family that was everything to her just as she meant everything to her family. She loved cooking and baking for her family, and her Christmas cookies were the highlight of every holiday season. She enjoyed reading the daily newspaper and watching Judge Judy and the Yankees on TV, playing cards with Landa Fiumara on Saturday nights, her best friend of 76 years, and Sunday drives with her granddaughter Nicole to her daughter's homes (weather permitting) to hang out with her grandchildren with whom she enjoyed talking sports, politics, recipes, and life in general. A devout Catholic and a member of St. Paul's Church where she attended Mass every Saturday, she made sure she arrived early to get her favorite parking spot and church seat. Lunch with her dear friend Josephine Borselle on Mondays, and grocery shopping with her friends on Thursdays, were Ann's other favorite pastimes. Nana was a wonderful lady who will be in our hearts forever. A Funeral Liturgy will be held DIRECTLY AT St. Paul's Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington, on Wednesday at 11:30am. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in her name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000 DEPT 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
