Anne (Amenta) Ferrante

Anne (Amenta) Ferrante, 96, of Berlin, widow of Joseph Ferrante, died early Tuesday morning (August 7, 2018) at Apple Rehab in Cromwell. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Paul and the late Josephine (Mazzarella) Amenta, she graduated from New Britain High School in 1942, was employed at The Card Shop, and retired from Weathervane Distribution Center. A former member of St. Ann's Church where she was a member of The Ladies Guild, she was presently a member of St. Paul's Church. Anne is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Rogers of Berlin, and Nancy and Michael Salzillo of Bristol, a brother and two sisters-in-law, Thomas and Patricia Amenta of East Berlin, and Nina Amenta of Louisville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Melissa Rogers, Scott Rogers and his wife Julie, and Michael Rogers and his wife Carly, and three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, and Tenley. She was predeceased by a brother, Conrad Amenta. Funeral services will be held Friday (August 10, 2018) at 9am from Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10am at St. Paul's Church, 467 Alling Street, Kensington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday (August 9, 2018) from 4-7pm. Her family would like to thank the Berlin VNA, her caregiver, Daysha, and the staff at Apple Rehab for their support and care.
