Carol Pastuszak

Carol W. Pastuszak, 73, of Newington, passed away on Tuesday at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved companion of Peter Moutafis . Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Klar) Ward. Carol was raised in New Britain and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She then moved to Berlin, where Carol raised her family and later moved to Newington where she has been a resident for over 23 years. Carol worked as an Executive Assistant in the banking industry and later at the Aetna Insurance Co., retiring 7 years ago. Surviving are her three children Stephen Pastuszak and his partner Cathy Dovidaitis of Berlin, Christine LeVasseur and her husband Jim of Colchester and Keith Pastuszak of New Britain. Carol was predeceased by a son, Andrew Pastuszak. She treasured the love of her four grandchildren Alyssa and Matthew Pastuszak and Mackenzie and Jillian LeVasseur. In addition she leaves a brother and sister-in law Thomas and Diana Ward of California and their children Ken and Lisa. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 am at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Kensington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Church at 10:00 am. Burial will be in South Burying Grounds Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
