Charles Joseph Probulis Jr., 60, of New Britain, beloved husband of Debbie (Scalise) Probulis, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of Nancy Jacobs Probulis and the late Charles J. Probulis Sr. Charles was a life long New Britain resident and was employed at Honeywell Manufacturing for 20 years and currently at Trumpf Manufacturing for the past 23 years. He was a member of St. Joachim Parish, St. Ann Church, Elks Lodge #957 for 37 years, and the Austrian Donau Club. Charles was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie (Scalise) Probulis of 32 years; a son, Charles J. Probulis III and his wife Jessica of Branford; his mother, Nancy Jacobs Probulis; his mother-in-law, Rose M. Scalise and brothers-in-law, Robert Scalise, Robert’s wife Lisa, and their children Tyler and Olivia, and Keith Scalise, Keith’s wife Elizabeth, and their children, Nicole and Anthony. Also surviving is his grand dog, Lola. The family would like to thank Hartford Hospital Hospice for their special care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St Joachim Parish, St. Ann Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 PM At Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
