Constance Davey

Constance Davey, 87, of Centerville, MA, a former Berlin resident, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was the widow of Bruce M. Davey.

Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Borselle) Cecere.  Constance was formerly employed as a paraprofessional at New Britain High School and later worked as an administrative assistance at Sherwood Tools before retiring.

Surviving are two children, Cynthia Davey of Brewster, MA and Bruce L. Davey of East Greenwich, RI; a sister, Patricia Johnstone and her husband William of New Britain; three grandchildren, Samuel Davey, Joseph Davey, and Molly Almeida; a nephew, William Johnstone Jr.; and a niece Lori Johnstone.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Craig Davey.

The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to the Alzheimer’s Association of Brewster, MA; Harbor Point of Centerville, MA, where Constance made her home for five years; and Broad Reach Hospice in Chatham, MA, with special thanks to Rose, her angel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church, Kensington.  Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin.  A calling hour will be held on Friday morning, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin.
