Daniel Harry Wilcox

Daniel Harry Wilcox, 82, of New Britain, loving husband of Louise (Zaczkowski) Nappi Wilcox, died Friday evening (November 3, 2017) at The Hospital for Special Care in New Britain with his family at his side. Born in Avon, son of the late Harry and the late Melvina (Griffin) Wilcox, he received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford, served in the US Army, and was a Certified Public Accountant involved in international banking. He was a member of the The Connecticut Society of CPA's, and volunteered for local community services. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey and Rebecca Wilcox of West Hartford, Ellen and Richard Matos of Canton, Heather and Edward Roseman in Massachusetts, Tracy and David Dube of Southington, Richard Nappi and Julie Rybka of Kensington, and Michael and Paula Nappi of Southington, three brothers and four sisters-in-law, David and Joy Wilcox of Farmington, Harry and Lee Wilcox of Avon, Sidney and Bonnie Wilcox in New York, and Merle Wilcox of New Hartford, three sisters and a brother-in-law, Sylvia and Tony Dixon of Torrington, Judy Arthur of Lime Rock. and Caraline Knust in South Carolina, grandchildren, Owen and Graham Wilcox of West Hartford, Isabella Matos of Enfield, Jenna Matos of Canton, Christopher and Tyler Dube of Southington, David and Maureen Dube of St. Louis, Missouri, Ricky, Jasmine and Jessica Nappi of Kensington, and Samantha, Jordyn, and Mitchell Nappi of Southington, a great-granddaughter, Hayden Dube of Southington, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Howard Wilcox, and a brother-in-law, Sherman Arthur. A memorial service will be held Saturday (November 11) at 11am at Avon Congregational Church, 6 West Main Street, Avon. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
