Elaine Jude (Bloomer) Green

BERLIN - Elaine Jude Green, 69, of Berlin, loving wife of James A. Green, Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Masonicare of Wallingford. Born in New York City, daughter of the late Francis and the late Julia Agnes (Jones) Bloomer, she received her Bachelor's degree in political science from Duke University and her Master's degree from Wesleyan University. Elaine was an administrator at Elmcrest School in Portland, at St. Francis School in Hartford, and most recently at Rushford Center in Hartford. She was an avid reader, and loved quilting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Ebony Walker of Wallingford, her grandson Tristan Walker, her sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Ward Carpenter of Ridgefield, a niece, Kara Carpenter, and a nephew, Christopher Carpenter. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porters Funeral Service, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington section of Berlin, Tuesday evening from 5-7pm. Services and burial will be at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
