Eleanor Josephine (Swintek) Grib

Eleanor Josephine (Swintek) Grib, of Kensington, passed away September 15, 2019 at the age of 92.  She was the widow of the late Charles Grib, to whom she was married for 39 years.  She was also predeceased by two sons, Charles, Jr., and Kevin, and is survived by her daughter Marsha Grib.

Eleanor often said “I miss my sisters” and was predeceased by them as well – Mary Cook of Danvers, MA, Vicky Kanupka and Stella Jedd of Kensington.  At last, the Swintek sisters are all together again.

Eleanor attended New Britain High School, class of 1944 and enjoyed working on their reunions throughout the years.  She also liked going to the casino and traveling to different places with her husband Charlie.  She retired from Yankee Gas in 1991.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Church at the convenience of the family.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin/Porters, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Kensington, is in charge of arrangements.
