Evelyn (Bighinatti) Cotto

Evelyn Sperandia (Bighinatti) Cotto, 90, of Berlin passed away surrounded by her loving family on 10/11/2021 in The Villages, FL.  Evelyn was born on 10/02/1931 in New Britain to the late Charles and Mary (Pedemonti) Bighinatti. She graduated from New Britain High School Class of 1949.

Evelyn went on to marry Frank Cotto on 10/09/1954. She worked as a secretary at Prentice and New Britain Machine. Evelyn was a member of Saint Paul Church, in Kensington.

Evelyn enjoyed playing setback at the Berlin Senior Center as well as spending time with her special friend Dick Bober, traveling and summers at the beach with him. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by her 2 sons; Raymond and his wife Amy of The Villages, FL and Gary and his wife Lynn of Middletown; her 3 grandchildren, Daniel Cotto and his wife Kayleigh, Sarah Cotto and Nicholas Arcari and Kyle Cotto; one great granddaughter, Natalie Cotto; three nieces, one nephew and several cousins.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Cotto, a special friend, Richard Bober and her sister Lillian Bighinatti Cistare.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 25 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St., Kensington.  Evelyn will be laid to rest beside her husband Frank at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill following the Mass.  Visitation will be held at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin/Porters, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Monday.
