Frank T. Rich

Frank T. Rich of Kensington passed away on October 19, 2025, in his home at the age of 88. He was born in New Britain to the late Joseph and Catherine (Roman) Rich. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife and soulmate, Mary Julia Rich.

Frank graduated from New Britain High School, attended E.C. Goodwin Tech in New Britain, and was later employed as a draftsman for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.  Frank was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, obtaining the title of Sergeant and marksman. He was an accomplished woodworker as well, having won numerous awards at the Berlin Fair. Many of his works were made for friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Frank was the loving father to daughter Robin and son Kenneth, and the father-in-law to Mark Tomasi and Catherine Rich. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Karly Rose Tomasi, Krystal Rich, Andrew Rich, Alec Rich and Aidan Rich, and several nieces and nephews. Frank leaves numerous dear friends: Vic and Brian, Pat, and Ray Mihon. Frank also had a great-niece, Kaitlyn McCran, who always thought about him and called every day, and a special cousin, Mike Rich, who he thought of as his brother. In addition to his wife Mary, Frank was predeceased by his brother Walter Rich, his nephew Joseph Rich, and his very special niece Kathy McCran.
