Greg Plochocki, 59, of Berlin, loving husband of Barbara (Halski) Plochocki, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 at home.

Born in Wroclaw, Poland, he was the son of Anna (Niechwiedowicz) Plochocki and the late Bogdan Plochocki. He immigrated to the US at 11 years old. He graduated salutatorian from EC Goodwin Tech in 1983, and later married his high school sweetheart and wife of 36 wonderful years, Barbara Plochocki. Greg earned a Master’s in Computer Science from RPI, and became the founder and owner of a computer consulting company. Greg was a resident of Berlin for the past 31 years and a member of St. Paul Church. He was a true renaissance man, with innumerous interests including cinema, fantasy novels, travel, technology, and medicine. He was an avid and accomplished tennis player. Even with all his interests, he prioritized his role as a husband and father. Greg was a genuine and kind person who saw the potential in people and strived to help them become the best version of themselves.

Greg is survived by two sons, Alex Plochocki M.D., of Essex Junction, VT and Anthony Plochocki of Williston, VT; a daughter, Ashley Plochocki of Berlin; and a brother, Robert Plochocki of Southington with his wife, Cindy, and their two sons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Kensington.
