Hubert M Barley

Hubert M. Barley, 80, longtime resident of Bristol, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2019. Hubert retired from New Departure in Bristol over 30 years ago and has since spent most days doing what he loved.  His main passion was going fishing in Massachusetts and Vermont. Most recently he resided at the Peterson’s Motel on the Berlin Turnpike, where everyone knew his name and spoke very highly of his smile. Hubert will always be remembered by the pipe, which was always hanging out of his mouth. Hubert is survived by his three children, Rachael Barley of Waterford, Lauri Marineau of Willimantic, James Barley and wife Katherine of Naugatuck, and three grandchildren, Tiffani Barley, Marissa Zipkie and Margo. He is predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (Dobek) Barley. Services will be held at a date to be determined in the future.
