JoAnn Mailhot, 78, formerly of Berlin, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026. She was the widow of Henry R. Mailhot.
Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Sophie (Badolato) Mallia. JoAnn was a former New Britain and Southington resident before moving to Berlin 50 years ago. She was formerly employed at Magson Uniform Company and Mayo Crowe LLC before retiring. JoAnn was a member of St. Paul Church and enjoyed cooking, crafts, trips to the casino and the beach.
Surviving are three daughters, Michelle Holt and her husband Glenn, Susan White, and Carin Roybal and her husband Thomas; her sister, Paulette Janucik and her husband Joseph; and three grandchildren, Lia Roybal, Taylor Begun, and Ashley Holt. She is predeceased by her sister, Catherine Scalora (Mallia).
She valued her close relationships with Ginger Lastrina, Mary Ciccarillo, Susan Keefe and Donna Rampone.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 9 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
