John "Jay" Ross

John “Jay” Ross, 83, of Berlin, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 1, 1939, he was formerly employed at Tilcon CT before retiring.  He was a member of the Berlin Polish Political Club.  He enjoyed Dirt Track Racing from central Florida to central New York, especially the #115 car-Kenney Tremont racing team on Saturday nights.

He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy M. Ross.  Surviving are his sister, Dorothea Stribling of Niantic; a nephew, David Stribling and his wife Kim of Kensington; a niece, Dana Protsko and her husband Dennis of Woodbridge, New Jersey; grand-niece Jordan Foster and her husband Nick; grand-nephews, Jack Varley and Andrew Stribling; and great-grandnephews, Bryce and Bradley Foster.

A reception will be held at the Italian Independent Political Club in Berlin, CT from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
