Lawrence K. Anderson

Lawrence K. “Larry” Anderson, 74, of Kensington, husband of Mary Beth Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the V.A. Connecticut Healthcare in West Haven.

Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Russell and Ermol (Hildreth) Anderson.  Larry was a graduate of Pulaski High School in New Britain and was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.  He was a resident of Berlin for the past 52 years and was formerly employed as a bus driver.   Larry was a member of St. Paul Church.  He enjoyed watching Red Sox Baseball, UCONN sports, and “Blue Bloods”.  He also had a passion for antique cars.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Beth (McKeon) Anderson; two children, Michael Anderson of Farmington and his fiancée, Sandy Collins, Elizabeth Mazzone and her husband John of Bristol; two grandchildren, Briana Mazzone and Sophia Mazzone; three sisters, Pamela (Gordon) Sammons of Lakeland, FL, Susan Anderson of Barre, MA, Libby (Gary) Belanger of Colchester; two brothers, Russell (Jeanette) Anderson of Meriden, William (Diane) Anderson of Naugatuck; and many nieces and nephews.  Larry was predeceased by his brother, Robert Anderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church.  Private burial will take place at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown at a later time.  Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin.
