BERLIN - Lawrence Glowacki, 72, of Berlin, loving husband of Louise (Methot) Glowacki, died Tuesday (December 6, 2016) at The Hospital for Special Care. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Adolph "Al" and the late Mary (Horbal) Glowacki, he graduated from New Britain High School, received his Bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University, served in the US Army during the Vietnam era, and was a carrier for the US Postal Service. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, American Legion Post #68, The Loyal Order of Moose, and the Polish Political Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother-in-law, Daniel Methot and his wife Nancy of East Granby, and two nieces, Kathleen Methot and Jessica DiViesta. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Peter Glowacki. His family would like to extend a special thanks to all the angels at the Respiratory Care Unit and The Close Observation Unit at The Hospital for Special Care. Funeral services will be held Monday (December 12, 2016) at 9am from Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, with a Funeral Liturgy at 10am at St. Paul's Church on Alling Street. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday (December 11, 2016) from 3-5pm.
