Leonard V. Bisaccia, 91, of Berlin passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Bergeron) Bisaccia for 37 years.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Camillo and Josephine (Lombardo) Bisaccia. Lenny was a long time Berlin resident and was a U.S. Air Force Pararescue veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Porter School of Design and was formerly employed at DSO Manufacturing, before retiring at 87 years old. Lenny was a member of St. Paul Church, American Legion Post 68, Elks Lodge in Southington, and the Dukes. He was an avid UCONN Basketball fan and NY Yankees Baseball fan. He was a former Berlin baseball coach.
In addition to his wife Paula, Lenny is survived by his daughters, Susan (Jim) Bisaccia of Plainville and Sally (Joe) Scheyd of Kensington; son, Leonard (Deborah) Bisaccia Jr. of Brookfield; stepdaughter, Shawnna (Robert) Kelly of Berlin; stepson, Ryan Kelly of Kensington; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, and Aidan O’Connor, Katelyn and Charlotte Bisaccia, Kyle Scheyd, and Grace and Braden Kelly; sister, Filomena Tuccarone of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lenny was predeceased by his two daughters, Lisa Marie and Janet Lee Bisaccia, and his brother-in-law, Patrick Tuccarone.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church, 461 Alling Street, Berlin. Burial with military honors will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
