BERLIN - Leonard Frank Schumann IV, 47, of Berlin, son of Patricia and the late Leonard Schumann III, died suddenly August 13, 2014 at home. Lenny is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Ken Gauvin of Berlin, and his two sons, Leonard Frank Schumann V and Jacob Paul Schumann, as well as the mother of his sons, Jaye Schumann. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Schumann and family of Nashua, New Hampshire, his grandfather, Leonard Frank Schumann Jr. of Simsbury, his grandma, Betty Wilhelm of Avon, his fiancée, Michele Albanese and her two children Valerie and Jeffrey and grandson Ayden, his loyal four-legged friend, Ava, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. A talented musician who enjoyed performing, he loved fishing, the outdoors, motorcycling, and sharing time with family and friends. He was a respected licensed blasting technician in the construction industry. A loyal friend and companion to many, Lenny was a caring, loving person who will forever be remembered for his constant smile and contagious laugh. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, on Thursday (August 21, 2014) from 5-8pm.
