NEW BRITAIN - Mamie L. (Yopp) Hall, 89, formerly of South Street, the widow of Arthur Hall Sr., died late Sunday night (December 4, 2005) with her family at her side. Born in Dudley, Georgia, the daughter of the late Carlton and the late Eva (Troupe) Yopp, she was a dedicated member of Jehovah?s Witnesses in New Britain and Newington. She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Arthur Hall Jr. and his wife Doris, Curtis Hall, and Jackie Hall, all of New Britain, and Willie and Debbie Hall in California, three daughters and a son-in-law, Julia Hall-Anderson, Jessie Solomon, and Lisa and Jon Perry, all of New Britain, a brother, Jacob Yopp of Hebron, a sister, Cassie Allen of New Britain, seventeen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Ray Hall, three brothers, Charles, Arthur, and Carlton Yopp, five sisters, Ruby Mae Hurst, Mattie Dupree, Exelee Caldwell, The Rev. Thelma Bell, and Eva West. A prayer service will be held Friday (December 9, 2005) at 11am at Porter?s Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday (December 9, 2005) from 10am until the time of the service.
