Marie D. Dimugno

Marie Diane (Fioravanti) DiMugno, wife of the late Frank DiMugno, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Marie was born on November 1, 1928 to Lucy and Henry Fioravanti in New Britain, CT where she resided until she married the love of her life in 1948 and settled in Kensington. Marie was a full time homemaker and a loving mother to her two children, Ronnie and Jeff. Cooking was her passion, and if you were privileged enough to have eaten at her home, you would attest to that! Eggplant Parmigiana will never be the same.

A devout Catholic, Marie held many charities close to her heart and donated her time and energy to all in need. She was an avid golfer and tennis player, but time with family was always her greatest passion.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Frank DiMugno, on March 29, 2021, and her sister and best friend, Dorothy Berk of New Britain, in 2020.

Marie will be dearly missed by her surviving family, including her two sons, Ronnie and Jeff; her beloved brother, Henry; Trish DiMugno, Jeff’s wife; her grandson, Cote, who was her “pride and joy!”; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St., Kensington. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
