Mark Peter Egri

Mark Peter Egri, 62, of Kensington, Connecticut, passed away on August 19, 2024, at Skyview in Wallingford, Connecticut. Born on February 15, 1962, at New Britain General Hospital, Mark spent most of his life in his beloved hometown of Kensington.

Mark was a dedicated member of the Carpenters Union for over 30 years, where he took pride in his work and contributed to many projects throughout the region. A nature enthusiast, Mark enjoyed hiking and frequently visited Hubbard Park, where he especially loved exploring Castle Craig. A devoted fan of the New England Patriots, Mark cherished the excitement of game days.

He lived in Texas and South Carolina for a brief period before returning to Connecticut, where he felt most at home. Mark was known for his devotion to family, especially in the care he provided to his mother in her later years.

Mark will be deeply missed by his brothers, Paul Jr., Andrew, Gary, and Bruce; his sister, Johanna Degnan; his sisters-in-law, Christine and Rose; his nephews, Benjamin, John Degnan III, Paul III, Brett, Shawn, Eric, and Kevin; his nieces, Sarah, Kristen Degnan, Annie Degnan, MaryEllen Pucci, and Jennifer Zies-Way; his great-nieces, Delilah LaRonde, Madison Egri, Emma Egri and Mia Egri. He leaves behind many friends, neighbors, and extended family members who will remember him fondly.

As per his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
