"Marti" Ida Witt

“Marti” Ida (Martinelli) Witt, 90, of Rocky Hill, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at Hartford Hospital.  She was the widow of Frank “Buck” Witt.

Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Aurelia (Baraglia) Martinelli.  Marti was a former New Britain and a Rocky Hill resident for 30 years.  She was formerly employed as the Assistant Vice President of Personnel at Central Connecticut State University before retiring.  Marti was a past president of CCARC and was as a corporator of CCARC and the Hospital of Central CT where she also served as a volunteer.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Lorraine Martinelli and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers and sister, Norman Martinelli, Henry Martinelli, Joseph Martinelli, Stanley Martinelli, Mary Martinelli, Loretta Martinelli, Gloria Careb, and Jane Phillippon.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at Wilcox Cemetery, East Berlin.  There are no calling hours.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT  06489. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
