Maurice Paradis

Maurice Paradis, 73, of Kensington, husband of Rita Paradis, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

Born in Frenchville, ME, he was the son of the late Benoit Paradis and Anne Marie (Chamberland) Paradis.  Maurice was a former New Britain resident and a Kensington resident for over 30 years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was formerly employed at Stanchem in East Berlin for 42 years before retiring. Maurice was a member of the Mattabassett Gun Club.

Surviving are his wife, Rita (Gardner) Paradis; his children, Natalie Paradis of Moncton Canada, Janis Baxter of Rocky Hill, and Aaron Gosselin of East Hartford; a brother, James Paradis of Orange Grove, CA; and five grandchildren, Lesley, Victoria, Michele, Gerald, and Jennifer Baxter.  He also leaves behind many dear family members and close friends who were an important part of his life.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Irene Paradis-Rehman.

Services will take place in the future when it is safe to gather.  There are no calling hours.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
