Milton Martin

Milton Martin, 83, of Plainville, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at home very peacefully. He was the widower of Barbara (Bednarz} Martin.

Born in Fort Kent, ME, he was the son of the late Roland and Emelda (Gagne) Martin. Milton was a resident of Berlin for more than 60 years before moving to Plainville. He was an owner of Sirois Tool in Newington, CT. Over time, Milton truly saw his employees as extended family. He was known to do many acts of kindness without recognition. Through Sirois Tool, Milton formed life long friendships that flowed into his personal likes and hobbies. Milton loved his family first and foremost. He enjoyed and was passionate about hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was referred to by many as the Mountain Man. Milton will be remembered for his massive vegetable gardens which fed his family and then some throughout the winter months, year after year.

Surviving are his daughter, Coryann Martin of Plainville and a son, Kevin A. Martin of Georgia. He was predeceased by a son, Keith Martin. He leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Milton had love in his heart, many smiles and kindness towards Coleen, KayAnn, Connie and Gloria who were a vital part of his home care for multiple years.

Milton will be laid to rest beside his wife Barbara and son Keith.
