Paul Salvatore Casella Sr.

BERLIN - Paul Salvatore Casella Sr., 73, of Berlin, loving husband of Sheila (Ziegler) Casella, died Thursday evening (September 17, 2015) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in New Britain, son of the late Frank and the late Frances (Scalora) Casella, he was employed at Fenn Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a member of the Italian Political Independent Club, Elks Lodge #957, and The 8th Ward. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul Casella Jr., and Richard and David Casella, all of Southington, a step-daughter, Tracy Karas of New York City, three sisters and a brother-in-law, Annette Cianci of New Britain, Barbara McGuire in North Carolina, and Lucille Sullivan and her husband Ronald in North Carolina, two grandchildren, Max and Kristen Casella, a great-granddaughter, Heather Casella, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Gail (Lewis) Casella, and three brothers, Michael, Gerald, and Frank Casella. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (September 22, 2015) at 10am DIRECTLY at St. Paul's Church, 467 Alling Street, Kensington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin, Monday (September 21, 2015) from 5-7pm.
