Paul J. Prior Sr.

Paul J. Prior, Sr., 89, of Berlin, CT passed peacefully at home on May 3, 2021.  Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Clarida and Augustine Prior. He was one of nine children.  He is survived by his loving wife Sally of 64 years and his daughters Kathy and Sue Prior, sons Paul and his wife Matilda Prior, and Michael Prior; he is also survived by five grandchildren.

Paul Prior lived a very full life; he loved White Sands Beach, he enjoyed being a pilot and enjoyed traveling with Sally.  He loved boating and fishing with his sons and walking along the Niantic Boardwalk with his daughters.  Paul loved playing cards during family gatherings, especially Setback; he liked to save the Ace until the last hand.  Paul served as a Marine in the Korean War.  Paul and Sally, both registered nurses, owned and operated Ledgecrest Convalescent Home until 1988.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin, CT and St. Paul Church in Berlin, CT.
