Peter Erich Liss

Peter Erich Liss passed away peacefully Saturday August 14th after a two-year battle with a degenerative lung disease.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Shirley who was by his side throughout and the love of his life.  Born in the Bronx, NY Peter moved to Connecticut as a teenager where he pursued his passion to fly small aircraft.  He graduated from Bryant University and worked in the insurance industry for 50 years before retiring in 2011. Watching his grandchildren grow up, traveling the world, and time in his yard were his favorite retirement activities.  A huge hearted man who was always there for his family, he will be missed and thought of often by his daughter Monika, son Paul, and their respective families.

Visitation will be from 10:30-11am on Thursday August 19th with a service to follow at 11am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin CT.   In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks to donate to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd in Branford CT.
