Raymond A. Fritz

Raymond A. Fritz, 81, of Kensington, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his home. Born in Meriden, CT, he was the son of the late Raymond Fritz and Dorothy (Allard) Fritz.

Raymond “Chip” worked at Malerba Tires, Firestone and over 30 years at Capital Tire as a manager before retiring.  He was a member of St. Paul Church where he served as an usher almost every week.  He also served in the Connecticut National Guard.

He was predeceased by his wife, of 57 years, Irene Fritz.  He is survived by three brothers, Gary, Mark and Scott Fritz and their spouses, a sister-in-law, Linda Gardner and a brother-in-law, Louis Makris.  Also surviving are his Godchildren, Gina Fritz and Robert Lucia, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and John Fritz and his sister-in-law, Joan Antonucci.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin.  Burial will be in South Burying Ground.  A calling hour will be Friday morning from 9 AM until the time of the service.
