Robert Battaglia

Robert Battaglia, 54, of Berlin, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Middlesex Hospital.

Born in New Britain, he was the son of Thomas R. Battaglia and Carlene (Nadeau) Battaglia of Berlin.  Robert was employed as a Service Technician for SNET.  He loved fireworks and worked as a pyrotechnician at Fireworks by Grucci.  He was a member of St. Paul Church.

In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his sister, Dawn Ozolins of Milford; his partner and soulmate, Eve Halter of West Hartford; and two nephews, Matthew Ozolins and Ryan Ozolins.  He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Roberta and Donald Kramer and Carol and Albino Simeone, and several cousins.  Robert was predeceased by two uncles, Gene Nadeau and Robert Devoe, an aunt, Lita Devoe and cousins, Ceil (Simeone) Biscoglio and Scott Devoe.

Robert was a loving son, brother, partner, uncle and cousin.  He was kind-hearted, outgoing, generous, and willing to help anyone.  Robert enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycles, and fishing.  Robert will be truly missed.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 9:30 to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church in Kensington.
