Robert J. Boryczki

Robert J. Boryczki, 75, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 after a brief illness.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Theodore “Ted” Boryczki and Genevieve (Gut) Boryczki. Bob worked in the HVAC field for many years before retiring. He was a past president and longtime member of the Berlin Lions Club, where he received numerous awards including the Melvin Jones and Knight of the Blind Awards. He also ran vendor concessions at the Berlin Fair for the past 40 years, which during the last 8-years, he spent spoiling his grandkids at what they referred to as “Grandpa Bob’s Fair” with treats, toys and golf cart rides. Bob enjoyed watching NASCAR, driving muscle cars and building/collecting die-cast & model cars. He also spent many years snowmobiling with friends and family at his vacation home in Vermont and enjoyed camping at the Charlestown Breachway in Rhode Island with family.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin Boryczki and Jeffrey Boryczki and his wife Skila; a sister, Diane Coppa and her husband Andy; two grandchildren, Estelle Boryczki and Ryden Boryczki; and his friend and companion, Donna Glatz. He was a man of few words, but with a simple wink and thumbs up, his warm heart shined.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin, with a Berlin Lions Memorial Service at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial in South Burying Ground. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berlin Lions Charities, P.O.
