Sandra Gail Allen

Sandra Gail Allen, 75, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, September 27, 2024.  Sandra was the beloved wife of William O. Allen Jr. for over 50 years.

She was born on February 11, 1949 in New Britain, CT to the late Elvin Gustafson and the late Alice Brousseau (Gustafson) Curran.  Before her retirement she was employed for over 20 years at Hartford Healthcare.

She was predeceased by her three brothers, Jeffey Gustafson of Maine, Warren (Gary) Gustafson of Harwinton, and Dennis Gustafson of Terryville.

Besides her husband, Sandra is survived by her son Bryan Allen and her daughter Marilyn Allen.  Her grandchildren Bryan Jr., Brittney, Marcus (predeceased), Tyler, Amber, Brianna, and Giovanni.  She also has five great-grandchildren, Marcus Jr., Jonathan, Aubrey, Aston, Bentley, and a community of friends who will forever remember her gentle spirit and generous heart. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and friends. She was the heart and soul of our family and will be missed dearly. Her strength and resilience inspired all who were fortunate to know her.
