Teresa M. (Bober) Soliwoda

BERLIN - Teresa M. (Bober) Soliwoda, 83, of Berlin, loving wife of George Soliwoda, died Tuesday (April 1, 2014) at The Hospital of Central, Connecticut, New Britain. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Walter and the late Mary (Karpienia) Bober, she graduated from New Britain High School, and was employed at Spring & Buckley for 40 years. She was a member of St. Paul Church in Kensington. Teresa was an avid fan of UConn Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Parda of Middletown, and Claudia and Ben DiValentino of Wolcott, a brother, Richard Bober of Kensington, a very special and beloved grandson, Kendall Soliwoda, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Walter Bober Jr., and a sister, Agnes Carney. Funeral services will be Saturday (April 5, 2014) at 9am from Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington, with a Funeral Liturgy at 10am at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday (April 4, 2014) from 5-8pm.
