Theda (Barnes) Schribert

KENSINGTON - Theda (Barnes) Schribert, 84, of Kensington, passed away on Saturday, at home after a long illness. She was the widow of Frederick Schribert. Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Bidwell and Florence (Featherstone) Barnes. Theda was a graduate of New Britain High School and worked as a computer operator at Aetna, Stanley Tool and Fenn Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Paul's Church and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Theda is survived by her two sons, James Schribert of Wethersfield, Daniel Schribert and his wife Agnieszka of East Berlin. She was predeceased by her brother Bidwell B. Barnes, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Kensington.
