Theodore Joseph Zelnerowicz (Aka) Zelner)

NEW BRITAIN - Theodore Joseph Zelnerowicz (aka Zelner), 72, of New Britain, died late Saturday (August 15, 2015) at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Britain, son of the late Theodore and the late Julia (Gerent) Zelnerowicz, he graduated from New Britain High School, served in the US Army in Vietnam, was employed at Shapiro Equipment, and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local #478. He was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He is survived by two adoring sisters, Annette Zaparyniuk and her husband The Very Rev. Michael Zaparyniuk Jr. of Lake Worth, Florida, and Lilly Zelner of Sarasota, Florida, five nieces and nephews, Anna Jessica Tonarely and her husband Fernando, Ruth Sencio and her husband Brian, Michael Zaparyniuk, Gregory Zaparyniuk, and Faith Jantzi and her husband Douglas, a grandniece, Catherine, a grandnephew, Peter, and numerous cousins. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday (August 19, 2015) at 11am at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the church on Wednesday (August 19, 2015) from 9-11am.
