Theresa Demay

Theresa DeMay, 95, of Berlin, widow of Bernald DeMay, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Ignatious and Mary Rzepnicki.  Theresa was a former Tolland resident before moving to Berlin.  She was a member of St. Paul Church, the Red Hat Society, RSVP, and the Berlin Senior Center.  Theresa was a volunteer for the Food Pantry and the Red Cross.

Surviving are her children, Kathleeen Bruni of Clinton, Susan DeMay Caputo of Berlin, James DeMay of Berlin, and Christine Waldron and her husband Brian of Terryville; five grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Jessica Sue, Casey Johnson, Tyler Bruni and Benjamin Bruni; three great-grandchildren, Isabella Johnson, Will Johnson and Ethan Johnson.  She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Rzepnicki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.  A calling hour will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Kensington.
