Victoria Ponds

It is with great sadness that the family of Victoria D. Ponds, 95, announces her passing on June 15, 2021 at Jerome Home, New Britain, CT.

Born in New Britain, Ct on Sept 1, 1925 she was one of nine children of the late Peter and Mary (Mickiewicz) Labickas.

Victoria was a resident of Kensington for 59 years and took pride in caring for her home, her family and her beloved grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by Ted J. Ponds, her husband of 71 years and the love of her life.

Victoria is survived by her loving daughters, Leona Needham and her husband Jack of Berlin, Claudia McKeon of Verona N.J., grandchildren Jennifer Needham, Jeffrey Needham (Cindy),Brendan McKeon (Courtney) and Colin McKeon, two great grandchildren Gavin John McKeon and Ryan Victoria McKeon, a special brother Andrew Labickas of New Britain, CT and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kindness of Lori Toombs, Director of Jerome Home and to all who cared for "Vicki".

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Victoria's memory to St. Judes Research Hospital for Children, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
