Walter Halajcio

Walter Halajcio, 99, of Kensington, widower of Helen "Gigi" (Chrzanowski) Halajcio, died December 7, 2016 at his home. Born in New Britain, son of the late Dimitrius and the late Anna (Halicher) Halajcio, he served in the Merchant Marines during WWII, and was employed at Connecticut Light and Power Company (Eversource) until his retirement. He is survived by a nephew, James Halajcio in California, a niece, Lorraine Gallo of Kensington, and several great-nieces, and great-nephews including Michael, Damian, and Kyle Gallo. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Joan Plawecki. Funeral services and burial are at the convenience of the family.
