Albert Robert Battaglia

Albert Robert Battaglia, 97, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 just 2 weeks short of his 98th birthday.  He was the widower of Angeline (Manchesi) Battaglia.

Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Anthony and Angeline (Pistola) Battaglia.  Albert was a former New Britain resident and was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul Church.  Albert loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed baseball and UCONN Women’s Basketball.

Surviving are three children, Roberta Kramer and her husband Donald, Thomas Battaglia and his wife Carlene, Carol Simeone and her husband Al, all of Berlin; a sister, Ceil Dorio of Newington; eight grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Emily Balducci; and by a granddaughter, Ceil (Simeone) Biscoglio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church in Kensington.  Burial will be in Maple Cemetery.  A calling hour will be on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin/Porters, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Kensington.
