Alexandra “Helen” Maguda, 104, wife of the late John Maguda passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. She was born in New Britain, CT to the late Stefania and Wojciech Sajdak.
Helen will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and animals as well as being outside gardening and shoveling snow (yes she loved shoveling snow). We will all miss our beautiful Babci dearly.
She was predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Edward Sajdak; niece Loretta Sajdak Hobby; and daughter in law Gerrie Maguda.
She is survived by her beloved son Edward Maguda and his partner Gretchen Taylor; granddaughters Karen and husband Scott Bauer and Paige Maguda; great grandchildren Alexandra Bauer, Mikalah and Christopher Ferrigno; nephew Raymond Sajdak and wife Denise, as well as several nieces and nephews on the Maguda side of the family.
Helen also had an extended family of friends who she enjoyed spending time with Dan, Nicole and Ethan Helt, Jacqueline, Aidan and Weston Lockman, Mark Ferrigno, Brighton McGevna, Ben Gallagher, and the Bauer, Fisher, Meyers, and Taylor families.
At her request the funeral will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Church, 485 Alling St, Kensington, CT 06037.
