Ann S. Zesk, 94, of Kensington, widow of Richard S. Zesk, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.
Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Mary (Corsino) Scionti, and her loving stepfather Rafael (Ralph) Ingenito. Ann was a former New Britain resident, moving to Kensington in 1956. She was formerly employed as a legal secretary and was a member of St. Paul Church, the Ladies Guild of St Paul Parish, and the Kensington Garden Club. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and knitting especially helping with the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Ann supported her husband in his work as a member of the Berlin Lions Club for many years, always participating in their fundraising and social events.
Surviving are four sons, Richard J. Zesk, his wife Trina, and their children, Alicia and Caitlin; Thomas J. Zesk, his wife Lorraine, and their son Andrew; David A. Zesk, his wife Carol L., their children Brenden and his fiancé Brittany, and Deven and his fiancé Jessica; William B. Zesk his wife Carol, and their son Ryan. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Chase, Rivers, and Wyatt; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Ortner and Virginia Drost; a nephew, Joseph Bibisi and his wife Amy; and a niece, Lois Bencangey. In addition to her husband and parents, Ann was predeceased by two sisters, Nell Marotta and Josephine Bibisi. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers who assisted mom at home with every need.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in South Burying Ground. Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Kensington.
