Chase D. Anderson

July 24, 2007 ~ August 20, 2022 (age 15)

Obituary

No one would ever be alone with you around.

Chase Anderson, 15, son of Lynn Swanson of Berlin, son of Glenn Anderson of Southington, and brother of McKenna Anderson of Berlin, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2022 after being fatally struck while on his bike by a motor vehicle.

Chase was born July 24, 2007 in New Britain.  He attended Berlin High School and he was beyond excited for a brand new school year as a sophomore.  Through the school, Chase was active in the Berlin Police Cadet Program and the Berlin High School Rise Program. He was also involved in Upbeat, and bike club.

Chase was a devoted son and brother who cherished time spent with family. He loved his family more than anything.  He also had a love for animals, including his dog Mufasa, and a stray cat that he took in, cared for and eventually named Nightly. He enjoyed parkour and flipping off of anything he could find.  He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, as well as playing his Xbox with friends. He enjoyed working out and the gym, and he also spent a lot of his time riding his bike around town with his friends.

Chase will be most remembered for his passion for helping children with special needs and for making sure that no child, or adult ever felt alone. He’ll also be remembered for his great sense of humor, and his gift of making people laugh.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his mother Lynn Swanson of Berlin, his father Glenn Anderson of Southington, his sister McKenna Anderson of Berlin, his grandparents Nancijeanne and Conrad Swanson of Berlin and his aunts and uncles Leah and Vincent Carbonell of Berlin, Eric Swanson, Marc Swanson, Steven and Lynn Anderson, Debbie Clen and Billy Herrick, David and Susan Anderson, Mark and Teresa Anderson, Susan and Tad Goetcheus,as well as his cousins Alexandra, Samantha, Vincent Carbonell, Mitchell Swanson, Livar, Sander, Annielle, Lisette and Oystein Litlere, Katie, Douglas, Jay, Sammie, Tori, Julie, Brian, Meg, and Andie. He is also survived by his closest friends Michael Goode, Jacob Fowler, Jake Soellner, Phillip Adamczuk, Henry Lee, and so many more. He was adored by his predeceased Nan, Joanne Anderson.

His loving nature, his laugh, his jokes, and enthusiasm could lift anyone’s spirits.
