Corinne G. Norton, 92, of Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Jerome Home in New Britain, CT. She was the widow of William S. Norton Jr.
Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Valentine) Gregory. Corinne was a Kensington resident most of her life and attended Kensington United Methodist Church. She was employed as a switchboard operator at New Britain General Hospital for many years before working at Deeters Bake Shop in Kensington. Corinne enjoyed camping at Hammonasset Beach State Park as well as entering her winning flowers in the Berlin Fair. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting, cooking, and helping to preserve the family legacy of recipes. Most importantly, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are four children, Donna Mousch and her husband Kenneth of Plainville, Diane Barone and her husband Salvatore Barone Jr., of West Hartland; William S. Norton 3rd and his wife Theresa of Kensington, Brian Norton and his wife Jillian of Newington; a sister-in-law, Helen Gregory; nine grandchildren, Lydia, Erica, Patricia, Elisa, Fabio, Rebecka, Cheryl, Brianna, and Trevor; two great-grandchildren, Izabelle and Aria; and three nephews. Corinne was predeceased by her brother William Gregory.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12 PM to 2 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin/Porters, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Kensington, with a memorial service to be held at 1:30 PM. A private burial will follow in West Lane Cemetery.
