Corrado “Dino” Burgio, age 81, beloved husband of Janice Burgio, since 1961 of Berlin passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2022 at home after brief illness.  He was born October 28, 1940 in Solarino, Sicily to the late Paolo Burgio and Josephine Burgio (Oliva).

He attended schools in Italy and moved to Berlin in 1969 where he resided there for over 50 years.  Mr. Burgio was employed by Stanley Works retiring after over 40 years.  He was also a real estate agent for many years working at J. Dorio and SalCal realties helping numerous families find their homes.  He was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Church in Kensington.   He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, godfather and friend.  He enjoyed family time at home, working in his garden, roasting peppers on his grill and laying on his hammock in the sun.  He enjoyed making his homemade soups and fixing lawn mowers.   He will be most remembered for being a good guy with a big heart who cherished his family and friends here as well as those in his hometown of Solarino, Sicily.  He was very proud of his family especially grandson’s Nicholas and Drew and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his great grandchild soon to be born.  Dino recently celebrated 61 years of marriage with his loving wife Janice and will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

In addition to his wife Janice Burgio (Hebert) of 61 years, he will be dearly missed by his daughter; Josie Bartolucci and her husband Andy of East Hartland, his brothers; Nello Burgio and his wife Yoli of Solarino, Sicily, Paul Burgio and his wife Pina of New Britain, twin brother Salvatore Burgio and his wife Margaret of Plainville, his sister; Connie Calafiore and her husband Pasquale of Farmington, his grandchildren; Nicholas Burgio and companion Stephanie Suarez and Drew Bartolucci, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his pets Riley and Baby.  He is predeceased by his son and daughter Daniel and Angela Burgio, his sister Carmela Riggio, and his parents Paolo and Josephine Burgio.
