Josephine Feole

Josephine Feole, age 84, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 11, 2022, in Kensington, Connecticut. Josephine was born in Santa Croce, Province of Caserta, Italy to Cecilia and Paolo Simeone.  She emigrated to the United States with her family in 1955, settling in Kensington. Josephine is survived by Benedetto, her husband of 62 years, daughters Rita Negrao (Claudio), and Emilia Roberts (Steven), grandchildren Samantha, Gabriel, Eric, Brian and Andrew, brothers Albino (Carol), Mario (Lorraine) and John (Pam) Simeone, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

Josephine was loving, strong, hard working, and devoted to her family. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She was a talented seamstress and gardener who took great pride in all that she grew. Josephine will always be remembered for the incredible food that came from her kitchen and her love of sharing it with family and friends. She was adored and will be deeply missed.

Following a private service, Josephine was laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery on January 15. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Josephine’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, her favorite charity for many years. (www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html).
