Julia T. DeStasio, 92, of Kensington, wife of the late William J. DeStasio Sr., passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021.
Born in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Assunta (DiLorenzo) Trombone. Julia was formerly employed at Grove Hill Clinic and was a member of St. Paul’s Church. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son, William J. DeStasio Jr. and fiancée Darlene Sage of Bristol; two daughters, Susan M. DeStasio of Harwinton, Julie A. DeStasio of Newington; three grandchildren, Rachel R. Keesler and her husband Donald Keesler Jr. of Harwinton, Amanda L. Pac and Dejan Maric of Plainville, Nicole J. Pac and Michael McLaughlin of Harwinton; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Keesler, Gemma Keesler, and Adrijan Maric; and a sister, Mary Criniti.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Mario and Louis, and by two sisters, Margaret and Lena.
Private funeral services will be held at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin. Entombment will be in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Valerie Manor Resident Council, (attn. Tracy Hoskins), 1360 Torringford St., Torrington, CT 06790.
