Mark Aubrey Monroe, 58, of Berlin, passed away at home on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.
Born on August 19, 1962 in Massena, NY, he was the son of the late Carl and Joy (Gardner) Monroe. Mark was a former New Britain resident before moving to Berlin. He was formerly employed as a rock crusher operator at A. Auidi & Sons in Plainville. Mark enjoyed auto racing and football.
Surviving are his companion, Susan Cox; a son, Mark A. Saucier and his wife Meagan; a daughter, Rachel M. Fennessy and her husband Christopher; two step-daughters, Haley Cox and Hannah Cox; three brothers, John Monroe and his wife Robyn, Roger Monroe and Ricky Monroe and his wife Marsha; four sisters, Susan Monroe, Martha Monroe, Dale Monroe, and Julie Monroe; four grandchildren, Isabella Fennessy, Hayden Fennessy, Mark Saucier Jr., and James Mack; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence “Butch” Monroe.
Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin is in charge of arrangements.
