Michael J. Brennan, 39, passed on November 13, 2023. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Angelina Brennan. In addition to his daughter, Michael survived by his mother Cathy LaRosa and her husband Tom LaRosa of Berlin; his sister Jackie (Jax) Mattera of Wethersfield; his father Anthony Mattera of Bristol; and his best friend Tyler Winkler of New Britain.
Michael, more well known as Mike, was in recovery and coming up on two years sober. An accomplishment all loved ones applauded him for. He was extremely skilled in the construction trade and held a true passion for tree removal. Mike always had a good drive, do not mistake this for good driving skills because if you ask anyone I doubt they’d say they had a normal driving experience with Michael Brennan. In all seriousness; with all his drive and passion, every job ever done was perfected and well thought out. A truly intelligent, passionate, kind soul, taken from us all too early. A very special thanks from the family goes out to his closest circle; you guys affected Mike’s life in countless ways. You kept his spark alive. And as his daughter; I thank you for that. May he rest in peace.
Michael was bright in many ways and to honor this, we request that those attending Mike’s service wear fluorescent construction colors, along with any electric blues and reds. He would love to think he set a fashion trend :)
Calling hours are Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday at 6 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
