Sharon Lynn Pelkey (Cohen) of Berlin, Connecticut passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on the evening of Sunday, May 22.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Jennifer Fusco and her husband Michael, three grandchildren, Madeline, Francesco and Enzo, of Berlin, her son, Joshua Binder of Berlin and two sisters, Tammy Aransky of Southington and Lorrie Acevedo also of Southington and their children, Kimberly Vancedarfield, Erik Acevedo, Alyson Aransky and Melissa Aransky. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Maureen and William Cohen of Newington.
Sharon was born on February 27, 1956 in the town of Newington, CT. Sharon took great pleasure in crocheting and spending time with her family. She had a passion for shopping and had an eye for jewelry. She found joy in purchasing a new bracelet, ring or pair of earrings. As a child, she enjoyed going to the beach and loved playing with her beloved dogs.
Her favorite activities included: listening to “oldies” music and dancing with her daughter, she liked cooking, and traveling to Florida. She absolutely loved Disney World and Daytona Beach. In her freetime, Sharon could be seen watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies, as well as her favorite show, I Love Lucy. Sharon was a well-known jokester with a heart of gold. She will be missed dearly.
A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.
