Obituary
Veronica Olga Castrogiovanni, 85, of New Britain, beloved wife of Pasquale Castrogiovanni, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.
Born in Sertao de Santana, Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Czeslava (Cziradski) Czeskowiak. Veronica immigrated to the United States in 1967 and was a resident of Queens, NY before moving to New Britain in 1970. She enjoyed gardening and always had a green thumb when it came to growing her favorite flowers, which were violets and roses.
Surviving are her husband, Pasquale Castrogiovanni; a daughter, Maria Tkac and her husband George Tkac Jr; two sons, Hercules Castrogiovanni and Maurice Castrogiovanni; a grandson, Brandon Tkac; two sisters in Brazil; her brothers-in-law, Antonio Castrogiovanni of Florida, and Tano Castrogiovanni in Brazil; her sisters-in-law, Sirlei Castrogiovanni and family in Plainville, Maria de Motta Castrogiovanni and family, Vera Castrogiovanni and family in Brazil; and several nieces and nephews in Brazil.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy, Kensington. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
